Bring your own IP to the cloud
Use IPv4 space leased or bought from us on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OVHcloud and other platforms. The addresses and their reputation stay yours when you change provider, and you stop paying per-IP cloud fees.
What BYOIP is
BYOIP (Bring Your Own IP) lets you use your own address range inside a provider's network instead of the addresses the provider hands out. The range stays registered with a regional internet registry such as the RIPE NCC. You authorise the provider to announce it over BGP, and traffic reaches your resources through their network.
The addresses don't move, only the routing does. You can take the same IPs to another provider later.
Why it pays off
- Reputation stays with you. It matters for email, APIs and partner allowlists.
- No renumbering when you switch provider. DNS, firewall rules and allowlists keep working.
- Lower cost. Big clouds charge per IP-hour for public IPv4. BYOIP addresses on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud aren't charged.
How it works
- Get a blockLease or buy a clean /24 or larger from us.
- Registry sideWe create the ROA for your provider's ASN and add the validation record to the registry.
- Cloud sideThe range is provisioned in your cloud account.
- LiveThe provider announces it. You assign IPs to VMs, load balancers and mail servers.
One block, any major cloud
Each provider validates ownership a little differently. We prepare the registry side for all of them.

IBM Cloud
Architecture reviewNo single public BYOIP flow. Whether your block fits depends on the design: VPC address prefixes, NAT, GRE or an overlay.
IBM Cloud optionsOther networks
Hosting providers, CDNs and your own ASN: any network that accepts an LOA can announce a block leased from us.
Lease IPv4We handle the registry side
- ROA for your provider's ASN
- Route objects and LOA
- Registry fields: netname, org, admin-c, tech-c
- Validation records the provider asks for, such as a certificate or signed message
- Reverse DNS delegation
The cloud side
- Provisioning the range in your cloud account
- Creating addresses or prefixes and assigning them
- Starting the advertisement and checking routing
Usually done by your team. Our cloud engineers can do it for you.
Cloud serversHow much you save
Compare your cloud provider's public IPv4 price with a block leased from us and announced through BYOIP.
Cloud list prices in USD from the providers' pricing pages, checked October 2026; hourly prices × 730 hours. AWS, Azure and Google Cloud don't charge their public IPv4 fee for BYOIP addresses; OVHcloud doesn't charge extra for BYOIP. Traffic and other usage are billed as usual.
